As President Biden's second year in office is coming to a close, not only has the country evolved but so have our cities. Since the 2020 pandemic, what in Tracy has changed? Has there been substantial growth, or are businesses slowly closing? Some citizens have been blaming Biden for recent closures of businesses in the city, but they've also attacked him for not putting in a Trader Joe's and Whole Foods in town. Since today is a Saturday, we decided to go out to the farmer's market and ask some special citizens their opinions on President Biden and grocery stores! Here are some of the responses we've received: "Joe Biden has been a disaster for our country! We have no water, no Trader Joe's, no Whole Foods, and no way to buy crudite thanks to Joe Biden." -Oliver Klozoff "As a proud Tracy member, and a conservative, I think it's outrageous that we barely have any grocery stores in our town. We need a real leader who will stand up for us citi

MIDTERM SPECIAL: Alice English: A Closer Look At Her Controversies And "The Faction"

As we're approaching the 2022 midterms, voters will decide if we keep the current mayor or city council member, or who will replace them. If you've been keeping up with Tracy politics and the Tracy Press, you might have heard of the city council candidate Alice English. She's been very vocal and active in the Tracy community, created petitions, participated in contests throughout town, and was even working for the city at one point. As we're headed into the 2022 midterms, we will be looking at all city council candidates and their past and current controversies. We believe that their controversies need to be shown to the public along with their accomplishments so voters get a better understanding of who they're voting for. Council candidate Alice English gets surprising endorsement from "Satanic Church of Tracy"

Yep, you read that right. Not many people in Tracy know this, but there is a Satanic group in Tracy that has been actively recruiting members and started giving endorsements. Recently, they handed out their first endorsement to City Council candidate Alice English. What does that mean? Has satanism taken over Tracy? We're going to tell you everything we found in our investigation. After weeks of research, we can finally confirm that there is a Satanic group in Tracy that has been active since at least 2021. The creator, Mario Fernandez, created a Facebook group and made a post in the group called "Hector John Rants and Raves", which led to many disagreements and 50 year old white moms being offended that their "religion was under attack". We tried reaching out to Mario, but as of writing, we've received no comment. Since that Facebook post, more and more citizens, specifically Millenials, have joined the group and started monthly meetings on Zoom. One of the

Photo of Tracy's Train Station (Creative Commons) In the 2020 election, Robert Rickman, the mayor of Tracy, decided to run for County Supervisor, leaving his seat open for the election. He ended up winning, and Nancy Young, a council member, took on the role of mayor. Today, voters are preparing for the 2022 midterms, which includes councilmember's positions and the role of mayor and mayor pro tem. The Tracy Bean recently discovered that Robert Rickman did a survey sometime this year, here's what it said: As a citizen of Tracy, would you be opposed to renaming the city to Rickmanville? Rickmanville would bus the homeless to Stockton, we would stop the dangerous gangs hiding out at the Dollar tree, and there will be a block party downtown every friday night! Apparently, over 85% of citizens approved the change. "I know Robert Rickman would do the right thing and stop the violent thugs from ruining our city", said a woman in her 70's who wishes to be anonymous.
